Using frozen fish to make fish pie?

I have frozen fish which can be cooked straight from the freezer but i want to make a fish pie. What is the best way to go about this, cook the fish 1st then just add it to the rest of the ingredients as per the recipe? Im making this tonight so no defrosting answers please. Thanks
