Leaving the horse outdoors with out blankets during the oncoming of fall and winter will give the horse plenty of natural protection against the winter weather, The little shelter is fine, many horses live outside all winter in freezing temps, snow etc with nothing but trees and terrain for shelter. Your horse will be fine
