Why do people think your gay if you read a book with a gay character?

Because most people believe you are to steer clear of anything and that only uals are to take other s seriously. I sat around with a bunch of my friends and watched Mambo Italiano, a very gay but really funny movie, and there were 12 of us in the room watching it. I'm from NY, so most of us here don't have negative views towards gays like other part of the country, so maybe it makes a difference.
